Fishie face lives!!!

DSCN1146.JPG

Working on a teether biscuit, which Katie ONLY is allowed to have on bath days. Whatta mess!

DSCN1165.JPG

In our tree, you can see a blue jay - I've actually seen as many as three, and we have a pair of cardinals, too.

Katie and Mommy: a self-portrait.

IMG_0137.JPG

Not the best picture of Katie, but gotta love the old school high chair at the restaurant! I think that thing is older than I am ...

DSC_2487.JPG

Hanging out with Uncle Jason ...

DSC_2488.JPG

who greatly admired Katie's Chuck Taylor tennies!

Motorin' around Grandma's kitchen

Hanging off of the gate at the top of Grandma & Grandpa's stairs

DSC_2500.JPG

Katie's little cheeks always get very red when we're at Grandma & Grandpa's house from the dry air. Grandpa kept putting aloe on them, though, and that helped a lot.

Bath time at Grandma & Grandpa's!

DSC_2512.JPG

AAAHHHHH ... that feels good

DSC_2525.JPG

Katie and Daddy ... all cleaned up!

DSC_2530.JPG

Sharing a giggle with Grandpa in her "little boy" jammies that Daddy got her (they have dump trucks and cranes and snow plows on them ... but I figure they have to be Katie's favorites; any time she's pulling her jammies out of the cupboard in our bathroom, those are the first ones out and she drags them all over the house.)

DSC_2536.JPG

Even better: a kiss from Grandpa

DSC_2543.JPG

Watching a little TV!

DSC_2553.JPG

"Left ... right ... le ... OOOH there's the cat!!!!!"

DSC_2557.JPG

The view from the condo where we stayed in Keystone - it was right above the village, but surprisingly it was very quiet for being on the "main" walkway.

DSC_2565.JPG

Katie with her great-great aunt Mildred

DSC_2584.JPG

Katie telling Grandma some gossip, apparently (and dontcha love that 70s mirrored tile on the walls??)

DSC_2589.JPG

Pretty pretty snowfall on the trees at Grandma & Grandpa's

DSC_2600.JPG

SPLISH SPLASH! More baths ... this time at Grammy DiAnn's house

DSC_2609.JPG

Is it Katie, or Kewpie?

DSC_2620.JPG

Katie was so funny when taking her bath in Holdrege - Grammy DiAnn and Angie came in to watch, and Katie had to keep looking over the edge of the sink to be sure they were watching. She is a TOTAL ham.

DSC_2629.JPG

A little book reading with Cooky.

DSC_2630.JPG

Playing with some of Daddy's old toys. Although, Katie's favorite activity was crawling up on the hearth behind her and then working her way back down - she LOVES to climb things (there are 16 stairs in our house, in case you wondered. I count them EVERY TIME we go up.)

Blowing raspberries with Grammy

The hottie dining out at Mickey D's just south of OKC

DSC_2670.JPG

Katie: one woman destructo!

DSC_2681.JPG

Who needs a tornado when you've got Katie? As soon as we'd put the diapers back in the basket ... out they'd come again!

DSC_2682.JPG

Hee hee hee ... my work here is done!!

DSC_2713.JPG

You can see the start of Katie's third tooth ...

IMG_0160.JPG

Toolin' around in the bye-bye buggy at school, which she LOVES

IMG_0171.JPG

"HEY! Where's MY cheeseburger?!?" Working on her rice cracker at Kincaid's grocery and burger joint (yummy)

DSC_2719.JPG

Wouldya lookit all that JUNK

DSC_2735.JPG

Model homes at the neighborhood we really like ...

DSC_2746.JPG

Since the neighborhood is very close to Lake Lewisville, there are canals that run through the area, and the developer has put foot bridges up in several places

DSC_2749.JPG

The neighborhood is near a golf course, and the developers are trying to make the whole area feel like a Scottish course - which is part of the appeal; the whole area feels very different from most other parts of north Texas.

DSC_2759.JPG

Not our house - but another in our neighborhood about one block to the west of ours.

DSC_2763.JPG

Looking down the alley ... and into our neighbors' back yards, which we can't usually see!

DSC_2770.JPG

Our umbrella in the bottom of the pool - part of why I think it was a tornado that went through and not straight line winds is because the umbrella ended up in the pool (behind where the winds were coming from) and not in our family room, through the windows (which would have been what the wind was blowing against).

DSC_2776.JPG

Our tree, half in the pool. Oh well - fewer leaves to clean out next fall!!

DSC_2782.JPG

The bradford, up close

DSC_2790.JPG

The "after" picture - Skip did a lot of work getting the limbs all cut apart, and thankfully, the city came by and picked it all up that same day!

DSCN1193.JPG

Katie's tushie! We change her diapers sometimes on our bed, it's easier than taking her all the way upstairs. But recently she's taken to bolting as soon as her diaper is off, and running up along where the pillows are

DSCN1202.JPG

Katie playing in her toybox - an old Kramer habit. Jason and I both used an antique chest (!) as a toybox when we were kids, and Mom & Dad both say we would climb into it, then the lid would shut on us!
